There will be musical accompaniment by the group "La Intermitent" performing musical repertoire of the time. The activity will end with a vermouth in Can Ramos for the people who, dressed in period clothes, have taken part in the parade.

Pompeu Fabra, a passionate tennis player, proposed rules for Catalan that were accepted and shared by everyone. This is the starting point of a show that uses the sports metaphor to introduce us to the scientific, human and citizen dimension of the organizing genius of the Catalan language. With Óscar Intente and direction by Maria P. Pla.

  • 6 p.m. TALK: "The Catalan bourgeoisie, the Civil War and Francoism" at Villa Martin (Ronda del Carril, 73)
  • By Xavier Díez, historian and writer. From the end of the 19th century, the Catalan bourgeoisie built a whole lifestyle, values, habits and customs reflected in art, literature, architecture and urban planning.
  • The bourgeoisie had an ambiguous relationship with power and an unfavorable relationship with the working class. This unleashes the tragedy during the civil war and explains how much of this social group pivots from Catalanism to Francoism. The Villa Martín was a refuge for bourgeois families during the war, and witnessed tragic events related to the fascist bombing of 1939. The house disappeared, but its garden is the perfect place for Xavier Díez's talk.
