The guerrillas will be the common thread this year in the commemoration of the bombing of the municipality.

Once again, La Garriga is reclaiming historical memory with the commemoration of the bombing that hit the municipality in 1939.

The common thread of this 87th anniversary will be the Maquis and, in general, the guerrillas and the resistance to dictatorships. In this sense, a series of educational and cultural activities and proposals have been prepared, such as guided and theatrical tours, theatrical and audiovisual shows or a pedal tour of the memory spaces.

In addition, as special events, Professor Arnau Fernández Pasalodos, a specialist in the repression of the Maquis by the State, will give a talk on the anti-Franco guerrillas.

The comic Maquis. Història d'en Cisquet will also be presented.

Educational work and institutional event

At the Manuel Blancafort high school, sessions will be held with the 4th grade groups, for training, awareness-raising and debate, led by Fundipau. A short video summary of these sessions will be edited, which will be presented on Thursday, January 29th at the institutional event commemorating the bombing, which will be held at Can Luna at 12 noon.
