Imatge de l'activitat 'Desperta, Holmes!'

The case of the Hound of the Baskervilles left Sherlock Holmes exhausted, to the point that his doctor, Dr. Watson, recommended rest, a time of tranquility far from England, where no one knew him. Holmes chose the Valls d'Àneu, in Pallars Sobirà, but on the way there, he stopped in La Garriga, probably to take baths in the thermal waters.

The point is that Holmes, no matter how much he tried to rest, could not sit still. He was an observant guy, and he spent his days wandering around La Garriga and
noting everything that surprised him. He was particularly drawn to the buildings and their history, and the church of La Doma was one of those that most attracted him and where he focused his research.

His hypothesis was that La Doma had been the political and religious center of La Garriga, and that by observing it closely, one could read the daily life of the people, as well as popular beliefs and religiosity. But is this really the case?

"The Case of La Doma" is a detective game for all ages. Everyone actively participates in the investigation that Sherlock Holmes left unfinished, to find clues
from all the eras of the church, discover hidden characters, possessed babies, flying elephants, heads split open by a knife, see what happens if you get drunk doing the work of an architect, observe the farmer's tools used by the people of La Garriga in the 15th century, a chapel built by people who arrived from France, stone figures that had butterfly ears, a king who has worms coming out of his ears...

"Wake up, Holmes! The Case of the Doma" is scheduled once every quarter. The next appointment is on Sunday, March 22 at 11 a.m. You can register on the website visitalagarriga.cat.
