The starting point of the Conference will be the opening of the exhibition of the Raspall and Mayol – Rull Fund, recently acquired by the City Council, which will take place on Friday afternoon in Can Raspall.
The exhibition will allow you to see part of the fund that came from Cèlia Raspall Mayol, younger sister and heir of the architect Joaquim Manel Raspall y Mayol. This family-related documentation and photographs span from 1870 to the 90s of the 20th century and bear witness to the life and relationships of the most important architect for the Garriga. Roman Gausa i Rull, nephew of the architect, will present the exhibition and tell some anecdotes and family memories that will put this fund into context.
In the evening, the events will continue on the Passeig, in front of the Teatre de la Garriga, El Patronat. During the opening of the Modernist Days, representatives of the Garriga Modernista, with their gala costumes, will kick off the celebration. The diplomas of the 2023-24 modernist sewing workshop will also be awarded.
Then, there will be a popular dinner, organized by the modernist Garriga with the support of the Garriga Sardanista Group. The tent dance, with the music of Puntual Folk and the dynamism of the dance school Ball a la Carta, will close the night.
