As every year, popular culture takes to the streets with music, dances and fire to celebrate the Festa Major!
To welcome the Festa Major, on Thursday, the start entourage will allow you to see the set of dances and appetizers that make up the Garriguen festive imagination, all the while making a pass through the streets of the center of town. That same evening, the Versots and the front fire of the Devil's Front will light the flame of the party.
On Saturday, Grallarriga and the grallas of the Colla Gegantera will perform the traditional parade through the streets of the town performing the Toc de Matinades. They will walk the streets of the town announcing that the Garriga is still partying.
On Saturday night, at 9.15 p.m., from different places in the municipality, we propose you to play the game of looking for the Devil: from four different points in the town, a few devils will walk the streets to the beat of tabla before meeting to start the focal point of the children's and youth gang. Find them!
On Sunday, there will be the traditional planting of giants and giants at Asil Hospital and the parade that will go through c. la Doma, Can Dachs square, c. Center and will end at Plaça de la Esglesia.
In the evening, the final entourage of Festa Major will culminate with some flamboyant ballads and the lighting of the Garrifera.
For a safe street parade with fireworks
Remember the safety rules for activities with fire, and that children must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult.
If you participate in the street parade with fireworks, wear appropriate and protective clothing, obey the directions and respect the crossing of devils and devils, and if your clothes catch fire, drop to the ground and roll over.
Residents and merchants must remove vehicles from the streets of the route, lower metal gates and blinds, protect the glass with cardboard, roll up awnings and disconnect alarms.
Traditional activities of all time
The Havaneras and Rum Cremat will not be missing this year either, with the Bernats Pescaires del Congost, who, as a novelty this year, are moving to the Plaça de l'Església.
Don't miss the sardana ballads, or the Festa Major cooking and dancing.
Dinner and the Sardaxou will put an end to the festive activities, before the final entourage.
