The meeting is part of the "Lliga del Porc i la Forquilla 2025" competition, where participating restaurants present their dishes in front of a jury while the public shares a popular fork breakfast.
La Garriga, with its botifarra with ganxet beans and bacon as the star dish and the participation of two restaurateurs, will be one of the venues of the competition, promoted by the Grup de Sanejament Porcí de Lleida and within the Catalonia World Region of Gastronomy program, of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The Pork and Fork League 2025 is the first Fork Breakfast competition in Catalonia that aims to promote this traditional meal as a gastronomic heritage of our culture, paying tribute to the restaurants that keep the recipe book of these dishes alive. Between the months of August and September, the first edition of the Pork and Fork League will take place, a fork breakfast championship that aims to promote this meal as a gastronomic heritage.
The competition will have four semi-finals, one in each region, and a Catalan final, which will be held in Lleida on September 28.
In each round, the participating restaurants will present their dishes to a jury, while the public shares a popular fork breakfast. In La Garriga, it will take place at Can Luna on September 7, at 10 am.
At the same time, it wants to give value to the pork production sector, within the framework of the celebration of Catalonia World Region of Gastronomy 2025 (#RMG2025) promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The Pork and Fork League 2025 is promoted by the Lleida Pork Sanitation Group, with the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya #RMG2025.
