Built in 1913 (with a modernist facade), the venue has a hundred years of history of leisure and culture in the Garriga.
The cinema opened the Café - now gone - in 1914. It was the venue for political gatherings, dance and theater shows. The first projections date from 1928.

MUSIC: New Year's Eve Concert with Arts Simfònica Jove

Arts Simfònica Jove offers a concert directed by Josep Maria Sauret, the director and founder, and with soprano Txell Milà as solo soprano. More than 50 musicians who will perform a brilliant and diverse repertoire, where the waltzes “The Blue Danube” and “The Emperor's Waltz” by J. Strauss stand out, and symphonic fragments from “The Nutcracker” by P.I. Tchaikovsky. The program is completed with Catalan Aries and Songs for solo soprano and symphonic orchestra.
The Half Marathon

The Granollers - Les Franqueses - La Garriga Half Marathon is a 21 km route that also offers the 10 km, Quart, Mini or Open categories. This race is one of the most important sporting events of the year, and is complemented by sporting, recreational, festive and cultural events.
The distance of the half marathon is 21,097 meters, officially certified by the Catalan Athletics Federation and the RFEA.

A walk that will bring us closer to the medieval origins of La Garriga, retracing the path taken by the parishioners of Garriga until well into the 19th century. We will discover the whole of La Doma, church, domeries, cemetery and all the treasures it hides, such as the altarpiece of Sant Esteve.

Institutional event to remember the victims of the bombing in La Garriga
At 12:00 PM
On the day that marks the 87th anniversary of the fascist bombing that left fifteen people dead in La Garriga, a small event of remembrance and tribute to the victims will be held. The students of the 4th year of ESO from the Manuel Blancafort Institute will participate, who will present the work on the bombing of La Garriga carried out based on the principles of Education for Peace, promoted by FundiPau. The event will feature a presentation by historian Joan Garriga and the collaboration of the Municipal School of Music.

Commemoration ceremony for those buried in the mass grave

In the mass grave of the Doma cemetery lie some of the victims of the Spanish Civil War, who died due to the violence of the conflict: civilians, refugees, soldiers of various nationalities, victims of the bombings of Granollers and La Garriga...
These are people who were silenced by the Franco dictatorship, but who memory and history want to remember and dignify.

Retracing the short PR33 route

The Garriguenc Hiking Center (CEG) has been organizing a walk for years that follows the PR-C33, which consists of a circular itinerary around La Garriga and Figaró.
It is a non-competitive activity where everyone sets their own pace. It is a moderate route in terms of terrain but demanding in terms of distance and elevation.
